Adelle started preschool this morning. She could not have been more excited! I am honestly amazed that she slept at all last night.
We dropped Jamie off at work on our way and when we got there, I did manage to get her to stand still (sort of) for about half a second so I could take her picture.

After that, she was off!

She checked out her cubby...

and left her monkey backpack to hang out.

I signed her in and she waited patiently for the classroom to open (she was first in line, jumping up and down). I managed to sneak in a hug and kiss before the doors opened and off she bounded without a backward glance. Evie immediately started waving 'bye bye' to Adelle, which she continued to do the whole way back to the van. I knew I would cry, but I tried to hold it together until I got back to the van. No luck, the tears started before I could even clear the building. I'm so proud of her. She's such a big girl and is so wonderful to be around. I really missed her this morning.
When we went to pick her up, Evie spent the wait time with her little face pressed up to the window of the door excited because she could see Adelle. We both couldn't wait for class to be over.

Adelle probably would have been happy in class all day, though.

She said she had a great time! She made new friends (can't remember anyone's names, though), played with playdough as well as dominoes, played outside on the playground, and got to paint today. She can't wait to go back again tomorrow!
